    Stockade Mule Deer

    Anyone got one? Thoughts? Pics?
I Like that it's an all around hunting stock that'll also work for long range hunting off of a bipod.
I'm leaning towards one, but would love to hear some first hand experiences.

I am interested as well. I would order one but I don't know how many years the wait would be.

LOL. I have their Elk Stalker on FVSS in 22-250 and really like it, took almost 3 months longer than I was told to get it though.

I'm glad your happy with the stock, kind of a bummer about the wait time. I'm planning on ordering the unfinished "money saver" option. I wonder if that's any quicker

I've had a few Stockades over the years. Everyone was the "money saver" level. I would never order one direct as I do not have that kind of time for a rifle build.

They were nice stocks. Very similar to the HS Precision or B&C medalist, just different configurations. Everyone I've had I've sold except for the one I'm building on now. Its the Hunting Sporter.

If the Mule Deer style is what you want I'd look more at the B&C medalist M40 style. They're very close in design and it'll be finished.

I do like the M40 style, but I'm building a 300wm, and the M40 is only available in short action for the savage.
Is their anyway to get them other than direct? Besides used obviously

Well that's not good. I'm not sure of sales. I only buy used parts.

Check out McMillian or Manners for styles you may like. Definitely higher cost though.

I don't understand why B&C will not produce a few more designs. They could wrap up the Savage lineup pretty easy with just a few more offerings. They are a great stock for the money.

Ya the only real offering from B&C for a savage long action is the "classic checkered medalist" which I'm sure is a nice stock, however, not quite what I'm looking for.

I'd bet you don't get it and have time to finish it before next deer season.
