It is not the one that goes behind the automatic cutoff is it?
I completely disassembled a 99H which was gifted to me, and the project was side tracked by a trip out of state. I reassrmbled it from memory but I have a tiny coil spring left over. The spring is a little less that a half inch long and maybe a sixteeth in diameter. Can anyone tell me where it goes? I have found exploded diagrams but they are not enough help. I might be too dumb to own 99 so I might have to sell them off.
It is not the one that goes behind the automatic cutoff is it?
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
I will check the diagram and see what I can come up with.
Thanks much
It is not the cut off spring as my rifle has the old style, I think it is the second hammer indicated spring but can not tell how to put it back.
Is it the "Hammer Indicator Spring" that fits between the top of the receiver and the Hammer Indicator?
Try cycling and firing the action (with a once-fired shell or snap cap) and watch the indicator, to see if it's working right.
I can see where that small part might get missed, yet everything else would "seem to function OK".
Hope this helps.
