My .17 FV mag is loose

On my new .17 FV boyds stock gun the mag is loose. You open the bolt insert mag to latch and it is loose and drops down a little. When you close the bolt the bullet hits just below the chamber.

    What is the fix, please

The new stock has nothing to do with how the magazine is held or at what position, so if it's loose now it was loose before. Typically they all have just a little up/down play so that's normal. As for the fix, the best solution is to just tweak the feed lips on the magazine a little to allow the nose of the bullet to sit a little higher.
