I just wish I could find TB around here...

It's what I use in my Cowboy Action loads.

Took me over a year, but I finally snatched up six bottles of Trail Boss earlier this summer. Would still like to find a couple 5-lb jugs though.

I wonder, could one use TB in a 300blk with 110gr bullets or lighter and still maintain the subsonic velocity levels. Hmmm something to ponder.

The answer is almost certainly yes. Even most max loads with TB are subsonic. If not, just back off a bit and you can get down to where you need to be. :-)

What always surprises me is that the can of Trail Boss is actually full, oppose to some of the ball powders which the cans are only half full for
    the same weight.

The shelves around here have been bare for months - and I'm down to my last two bottles.

Dean, Trail Boss is light fluffy doughnuts. It is mostly air :-)

That is partly because the Trail Boss jug is 9 oz while other powders are 1 lb - same size container. Even with that, it's much cheaper to shoot. 5 1/2 cents per load with T B and 10.7 cents for a very light (25 gr) load of 4895.

Actually, the typical bottles sold as 1-lb only hold 9-oz. of Trail Boss so they're plum full with almost half the powder by weight of other powders.
