My new FLCP is ready for range

My new Savage 10/FLCP arrived, mounted the scope and bipod. Ready to go!

Loaded some test rounds with 63, 69, & 77 gr bullets and Varget, RL-15 & TAC

Was surprised to find that I "could" make the COAL 2.347. I backed off a little though.

Off to the range 1st thing tomorrow morning.

    Will post tomorrow

Here are the results of my 1st trip to the range with my new 10/FLCP.
I put my Diamondback HP on it and bipod.
The Varget 69gr HPBT load was 25.2gr and COAL of 2.335
This was the best group @ 0.6"

I've been getting amazing results with 75 gr, Hornaday Match over a max load of IMR4320 about .015 off the lands with my model 12, in 223. Second best load is 52 gr. Hornaday match over 3031. Old powders yes, but still work wonders

Texas10, Does your 12 have a 7 twist rate to make the 75gr do so well?

It's a 9 twist model BVSS. I have to say that in doing my load work up, the groups did not tighten up below MOA until nearing max load per Hogdon load chart. In my case, 24.4 gr. while working up in .3 gr. steps. I do get some primer flattening at this pressure, but don't have a chronograph to really know what kind of pressures i'm experiencing. YMMV
