    Bolt hardto remove

I have a 223 Hog Hunter and the bolt is difficult to remove from the receiver. When I press and hold the trigger, and press the bolt release lever the bolt hangs up asi slide it rear ward. If I press really hard on the release lever, then the bolt clears. None of my other Savages are like that.

Anyone else experienced this before? Some sage words of advice would help before I tear into it.

    Thanks!

I would look for restrictions in the stock or between the seer/bolt-release and the trigger. Too little over travel may restrict the seer movement. That might cause light primer strikes also.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.

Ok great! I forgot to include that this rifle has a SSS trigger. Looks like I need to re-address trigger setup and Check the areas you suggested. Thank you.
