    axiom stock

Anybody out there try out a blackhawk axiom stock on a magnum? I was wanting to re-barrel my 270 wsm to 300 wsm and love the looks and feel of this stock. I just can not make up my mind if it will hold up to the recoil. So far I have only seen it on 22-250

    Thanks

    Re: axiom stock

I have one on a .308 Howa 1500. The further up the load chart, the more it worked. I noticed the most action from 155 grain bullets traveling at 2900-3000. However, if you do plan to shoot with a rear bag, you need a horizontal bar attached to the sling attachment. This will allow the proper recoil tracking. If you've shot any AR rifle, you will notice the "spring" sound from the buffer spring. It sure does tame the recoil.
