    .308 FCP-K question w/ Advanced Armament Silencer

quick question regarding the thread pattern on the end of the barrel on the FCP-K......Is there an "industry standard" so to speak in regards to the thread pattern used on muzzle brakes and/or silencers? I was just curious if I could get lucky enough to be able to acquire this http://www.advanced-armament.com/pro...id=209#pid=211 and be able to switch back and forth between the two? I am not familiar with industry standards (if there is one) for thread patterns used on muzzle brakes and/or silencers. Or if the heavy fluted barrel is too thick to accept this particular silencer? Thanks for the help guys!

I talked to the folks at Savage and was told the threads on my FLCP-K (Lefty) were 5/8 x 24 a common thread used for suppressors.

it would be perfect if they were in fact 5/8 x 24. This is what AA told me yesterday in regards to their threads...

    "Hello,

Thanks for the email and support!

    The Cyclone comes threaded 5/8 x 24 TPI or M18 x 1 mm.

American 30 cal rifles are normally threaded 5/8 x 24. Call Savage and see how yours is threaded… if it is indeed 5/8 x 24 TPI then the cyclone will work great!

    BTW nice rifle"

My 10FLCP-K threads are 5/8 x 24. I am shooting F-class TR with my rifle and cannot use a muzzle break, so I bought a thread protector with those threads.
