    Savage Model 25 Front sight

    Hello everyone..

I have a very nice Model 25 the front sight seems to be "off" in order for proper windage from a bench rest the front sight needs to be adjusted far right and the rear far left.

It appears to be the original sight that was perhaps bent? at some point in time.

I really like this rifle and plan on shooting cowboy silhouette with it.

I measured and it appears that the front dovetail is 5/16". I would like to find a replacement blade or even a vintage globe. Is this the standard dovetail size for this rifle?

    Thanks

    Mike

I think it should be 3/8", which is fairly standard, so there should be a wide variety of sights available that would fit.
