fruits of my first reloading labors!

FINALLY got a chance to head out to the range and try out a few loads I cooked up. I think I did OK! Big improvement over factory ammo...either that or my marksmanship improved dramatically in the weeks in between range trips.

    :)

While I realize they aren't "awesome" they are pretty good groups for me, and I'm excited to continue developing a load that my 12 LRPV likes. Trying some heavier bullets next (69gr SMK and 75gr A-Max), so I didn't go too bezerk with these lighter bullets.

    Sierra 52gr MatchKing HPBT
    24.5gr BL-C2
    CCI 400 primer
    Hornady brass (fire formed)

...and another group using the same basic recipe, but with a 55gr Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet:

    (yes, 5 holes...honest injun!)

Again, not super awesome groups (damn those flyers) but at the end of the day I was a happy Savage owner.

    :)

Nothing like that feeling of shooting your first hand loads. Did your anus draw up like mine did on the first shot ?

    ROTFL...

It was more of an inner "Mmmmmmmm". Like Homer Simpson drinking a Duff.

boy412, I am really sorry to read this post.

You are now doomed to a life of saving money, enjoying a very fun and relaxing hobby, and worst of all having to put up with vastly improved accuracy.

    We'll pray for you.

Yea more like PB&J lunches, collecting aluminum cans from the roadsides, part time jobs, etc, to scrounge every penny you can for more reloading supplies. LOL
