You're gonna like it a lot. There's a good reason the Vari x3/ VX3s have been the standard that others are judged by for so long.

I love the view thru a good Leupold. It would be my first choice in affordable hunting scopes if only they had the same "Rainguard" feature that Bushnell came out with several years ago. Since then, every time I try to hunt with anything else, no matter how I like the scope, I get crossed-up by a fogged-up scope or rain, even when using Butler Creek flip-up lens covers.

So... I miss my Leupy's in the field.
I LOVE them, but don't miss the "fog".

Might not feel that way if I hunted warmer climates, though.

The VX-3 4.5-14 is one of my favorite scopes for an all around hunting rifle.

Im hoping I like it. Very seldom is it super cold here during rifle season so I shouldnt have to worry about that.
Baker.....Ive got a couple other scopes with that magnification.....I like it really well. Seems to be about the perfect mix of magnification for where I hunt.
