Center feed or Staggered feed?
Hi guys, so i bought a Choate tactical short action stock and the blind mag inlet is too big. I remember seeing a thread about it a while ago and I can't find it. Can someone provide info on how to make it work or the ling for the thread? Thanks!
Center feed or Staggered feed?

Center feed for both.
That's too bad. SF would be no big issue. CF you'll be shimming or bedding the mag in place.
Does it look like its been modified at all?
INFERNO
Nope. Both are brand new.
Both as in stock and action?
I just realized we talking about short action so it does matter. I was thinking long action for some reason.
Generally CF stocks are cut tight for mag box, spring/follower and L clip to fit tight.

What do i shim it with?
Hats what i thought... did i get sent the whong stock? The box and the receipt said SA/CF
I've read little pieces of wood on both sides or epoxy would work good. I've bedded CF mags in LA SF stocks before and it worked great. Just have to position it right. Not sure why the stock you purchased new would have issues. I've only had 1 Choate stock. It seemed of good quality but very bulky and heavy for my liking.

I have I didnt think to check to before i barreled the action but when i went to complete the assembly i noticed it... it bolts up fine. Just the mag doesnt fit.... there a good almost 1/4 inch of space left over...
Also, the inlet for the mag is too big length-wise, not width...
disregard, i'm lost.

Holy Crap!!
Update: the inlet is only about 1/8" too long. Just enough so that the l-clip wont hond it in place... is this normal?
Shoot the folks at Choate an email with your question. They have always given me great customer support and fast.
