Cabela's is dying a slow and agonizing death now that Bass Pro owns them. BPS is dumping more and more of the Cabela's branded product and replacing it with the lower quality BPS and Redhead branded products. I imagine it won't be too long before they do away with the Cabela's brand all together and convert all the stores over to Bass Pro's.

I went ahead and got another FV12 in 22-250 the other day, was $420+tax in N GA.

I saw an ad 2x the other night on one of the financial/business channels. BPS was advertising 1st class office space in Sydney for $1.00/yr. Showed the interior and exterior of one building, was probably the Cabelas corporate headquarters, everything was gone, no phones, no nothing on the desks.

IF you bought it on or AFTER November 5, you should be eligible for the $60 rebate.

So interesting....the .204 Ruger is on sale for $335.99. Best gift card offers are in the 10% off range, plus $60 rebate....you have the whole action for unter $270. Not sure on the resell value of a .204 barrel though. If they discount any of the other calibers here comes rifle #7.

The 204R was higher at the N GA store per the website IIRC.

From what I can find the $60 rebate only applies to AXIS, AXIS II, or Trophy Hunter XP rifles. I am I missing something?

Looks like the Bass Pro site is showing more rebates than the Visto Outdoor site....but both are there.

The The rebate I posted is from Basspro.com and it clearly says
    "Purchase any Savage® 12FV and get a $60 rebate."
I literally copied and pasted that from the rebate form.

That being said, it is the same promo number as the $60 Axis/Trophy Hunter rebate, PROMO # R9840. Except for the first line, the verbiage on the forms is identical as far as I can tell. The QR code in the top left is the same as well. ("W1760|4009|R9840") in the off chance you actually care.

Purchase any Savage 12FV centerfire rifle and receive a $60 rebate. Limited toTHREE (3) qualifying purchases or $180 per household.

Maybe they forgot to change the promo number on the 12FV rebate, but otherwise the terms are the same.

I know rebates are a PITA, but you should be okay as long as you don't also buy an extra three AXIS or Trophy Hunter XP packages. That's usually good advice even if there isn't a competing rebate involved.

The rebates are all done through Vista Outdoors and they were very easy to work with on the last buying stampede we all had. Everything could be done online and by taking pictures of everything. It does take some time, but you *will* get your money.

Looks like it's available in Acworth for $335.99 online.

According to their web site, Cabela's should match that price in store

Cabela’s Retail will honor Cabela’s Catalog and Internet prices.
You can always order it online at that price for pickup at the store of your choice.

And, because intentions don't always transfer well through text, I just want to clarify that I'm giving you reason to acquire another Savage , not trying to prove you wrong.

Looks like a used one is worth about $80 shipped and a new takeoff with barrel nut and recoil lug could fetch $165 shipped on eBay. Probably a bit more if you used Buy it Now.

I highly doubt he will get that $167. People are still suckers for the 6.5 Creed and that would be my choice for high $$$ barrel flipping

    LOL, no problems.

I have a FV12 in 204R already, got it a couple yrs ago when the sales & rebates were better (before the merger). I have 3 Fv12's now, probably should have gotten the 6.5CM as well but something else caught my eye at the store so....

Thanks again for posting the rebate. Gotta get it done soon.

I hate BassPro that is why I didnt bother to click the link. I went to Savage and Vista, I hate to try and convince them that a store "said" there is a rebate... I did 4 rebate with them last year. Without a black Friday sale I dont think its worth it for me.

I agree the Creedmoor's a better choice, but that's a completed auction. Somebody bid and won the auction at that price. Doesn't mean they actually paid up, though.

You can click on those eBay images and it'll take you directly to the auction.

I just checked the bids. 7 bidders placed 13 bids. Starting price was $100.

Picked up my second 12fv from Cabelas, this one the 204 Ruger, on sale, with gift cards @ 17% off + rebate of $60, Im in the rifle for $219. I plan on selling everything but the action for maybe around $160. That would leave me with the action for about $80.
