The 100$ rebate is mail in only, from what I can find. Cables sold five 12fv while I was there. I grabbed primers and powder for 10 and 15% off. Good deals for around here.

Anyone have experience with backordering these rifles? Just wondering what the wait time might be. The store nearest me is out of stock on the caliber I want and I just want to be sure I can take possession of it before the mail in deadline for the rebate.
I backordered one and it was about 2.5 weeks of waiting.

Edit: Wow, going back through this thread it looks like some guys had some pretty substantial wait times. I hope I can get the thing before the April 1st mailing deadline, especially since I bought the discounted gift cards to pay for it. I'm assuming that my online invoice will suffice as proof of purchase before the March 1st purchase deadline.

I had to back order mine also and it took 10 days. A lot faster than they said.
Do you have your rebate slip? That should answer all of your questions. If it's not online then you should probably give them a call.

I am on the backorder wait list. I ordered mine on the first day of the sale. I want the 6.5cm. The web site said it had limited stock in store. I was thinking they would fill from the in store stock. I guess not. They do have my money on hold in my bank account. I went to Cabela's over the weekend. They are now out of stock for the 6.5cm. They did have the Cabela's covenant scope in the bargain cave for half price. Got a scope now need a rifle.
I’m waiting on my gift cards to get here so I can hurry and order one. This will be my first Savage and I’m stoked!

I purchased my 12FV in .223 on 2/1/2018, not knowing that the sale was coming. I still get the rebate but missed out on the $50 off sale. I did get a $20 discount for veteran status, so I missed out on $30... I was a bit sore about that until I started looking at stock levels in the stores around us. As of yesterday, there isn't a 12FV in .223, .204, .243, or 6.5 CM in any of the 3 stores within driving distance. I feel better about missing out on the sale as I have over 70-rounds down range and am not waiting on a backorder to deliver! :)
