Dragonfly, I hope this doesn't sound critical, and there may be a good reason... But why is your scope SO FAR forward?

First Savage build, put this together last year for long range F-T/R and now will use for mid range 600.
Started with Savage 111 in 30-06. Build list includes: Choate tactical stock, added DWP cheek piece, Choate 3 way adjustable but pad, CDI short action conversion bottom metal, bob sled for single shot, PTG bolt head, NSS trued barrel nut, NSS precision ground recoil lug, Krieger 26" MTU 1 and 10" barrel(chambered in 308 win. using Obermeyer reamer) I had a buddy true the action face in his lathe, EGW 20 moa scope mount, TPS (TSR low aluminum scope rings) Sightron SIII 8X32 target dot reticle 1/8 moa clicks, Rorer spec F-T/R bipod.
Thanks for looking,
dragonfly

He might have a long neck.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
I'm extremely far sighted.
I'm really afraid of getting scope eye
It was a test to see how long it take for someone to notice and reply
Sweet gun, How hard was the cheekpiece install and how do you like the sightron? I have heard mixed things, ever run a tracking test on it, seem to track ok?
No prize, but you are the WINNER BlueDog
Aw man, I was going to make a scope eye joke! Looks good!
Is there an advantage to having a 308 in the long action? I'm assuming just more room to work with when you're single loading?
Here's dragonfly's picture:
Thank you thomae
