Whats the difference between the "111 trophy hunter" and the 111 FCNS. Both have the Accu-trigger, right?

I found a brand new trophy hunter for 450.00

    Thanks for your time.

Trophy hunter will use the Axis style magazine (plastic retention clip), whereas the 111 FCNS will use the all metal detachable magazine with separate bottom metal for the stock.

Also the Trophy hunter wont have the accustock. The FCNS should provided it isn't old stock.
A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.

+1 What J Baker says. Lessons from TH sale, trying to upgrade. I got a TH 223 on sale. I put an accustock on it and have feed problems with the magazine., plastic doesn't sit in the slot magwell correctly since the newer TH use an Axis bolt and Axis magazine. It would have been easier/lower cost to buy an axisII and stay cheap or buy the next level Savage in the first place.

Yes.. I already spent more $ on mine than retail 111 FCNS and it didn't reach my goal. The package Nikon scope is basic, so upgrading that too. 111 FCNS and get a better scope.

Mine worked fine (223) in my original TH flimsy stock. Problems came when I put it in the FV stock. I have to hold the magazine up into the receiver or it won't pick up a round. I made sure the receiver was torqued down into the stock.

Rancher, is yours picking up the round? If not maybe it is similar to my problem. If your round is picking up but staying low so it hits below the chamber, someone here mentioned doing a fine smoothing of the inside edge of the lips of the magazine.

Magazine tuning or try another magazine.

Rancher, if you can get some pictures, start a new thread. I think folks on this forum might see the problem and give some options... I only have the one trophy hunter.
