New Barrel

Hello Shooters,
Can anyone tell me if they have experience with Savage brand match barrels.. What is the quality and accuracy.
I found these barrels listed on "The Barrel Man" site. If they are good shooters no reason to
buy an expensive barrel.... Any info will be appreciated !!!

It can be a crap shoot with factory barrels. With that said, I have to say I've had nothing but good accuracy from factory barrels. No they won't shoot as well as a Bartlein or Krieger but they can shoot impressive groups with load development. Only you can decide what level of accuracy your after.

These aren't factory barrels. Years ago when Jerry Wilbanks (the owner) used to be an advertiser here his Savage pre-fits were Shilen barrels, but if that still holds true today I couldn't say with any certainty as he now carries Boughton and X-Caliber barrels as well.
