Outstanding shooting! Just another example of how with a little work and the right shooter the Axis is a very accurate rifle.
I was doing some velocity data collection with my Taxis rifle the other day and decided to run a box drill on the Primary Arms 4-14x44 FFP scope. Two sighters, a little adjustment (a little too much), and off I went: one in each corner and one after a return to zero. The results are pretty satisfying.
But wait, through the magic of Photoshop...'s less expensive competitor, I can create a composite image of the group and make an approximate measurement!
By my math, that's somewhere between 0.6-0.7" center to center. That wouldn't be bad for a 100 yard group, but this was shot at 200! Here I was afraid my barrel was wearing out prematurely, but it might be that Hoppe's Elite was just doing a lackluster job in removing copper fouling. KG12 seems to have done the trick.
