stock question

what does 4.2 mean in inches? i have a stock but my s 4 1/4 inches and i was wondering if this one will fit my gun

Just as a point of reference, 4.25 inches is 4 1/4 inches.

Can't seem to get it together this morning. Will it fit your rifle depends on several things, is it center or stagger feed, is it a blind mag, top bolt release or bottom bolt release, so forth and so on. The action screw spacing does appear to be correct so there's one less obstacle to consider.
