    Stock of choice


    Looking for a tactical style stock for a long action savage 110 something like the bell and carlson a2 or a5 does anyone make one besides mc millian and that doesnt cost 600 i am having no luck

    Welcome to the forum Johnson.

    Choate makes a fairly nice synthetic tactical with an aluminum backbone. These can be found at MidwayUSA and other etailers.

    The Stockade Prairie Dog Special is of similar construction, but a little better quality. It is custom made and the lead time can be a few months.

    A favorite around here is the Sharpshooter Supply LVT. It is a custom made laminate and you'd need to contact them for the lead time.

    To order one of these, you will need to know if your action is a staggered feed or center feed. And what type of magazine - blind, detachable box or hinged floorplate.
