first shots with new rifle

Got a new savage 12 lrp 65 cm. Shot today first time. Shot two 3 shot groups of 9/16" @ 100 yds. With factory ammo. 140 gr hornandy amax. Gun shoots real nice. Look forward to working up some handloads.

Got the same rifle last week. Extremely impressive at 200 & 300 yards with mine. It's definitely a keeper. Now I need to find a ground hog field.

You should see even better grouping with handloads.

Finding fields as a rule is the easy part nowdays. Coyotes seem to be everywhere and groundhogs are easy prey for them.

man that's some good shooting out of the box with factory box ammo.
while mine isn't a creed but a 260rem, it suprises me how accurate it is out of the box.
I wished Id of picked mine up years ago.
hopefully you,ll be able to find some good cm brass that wont punch a hole in your pocket.
