Nice looking rifles you have there.
Here are a couple of old Savages that have been with my family since new. The 99 is serial number 2025xx, the model 20 is 14xx. They both belonged to my great grandfather, and I believe he purchased them both new and at the same time. He was a mail carrier and dairy farmer in Sullivan County, Pennsylvania. Oh yeah, both rifles are in .250-3000...
Anyway, here's a few pictures...
You can see where somebody put extra holes for a swivel, I reckon he didn't like where it was the first time! I haven't had these rifles out in a while. We just moved closer to the beach, and they're picking up some surface rust real quick....I need to get on that....hope y'all like the pictures, and enjoy your rifles.

Thanks, Mr. Baker.
If anyone can give me any insight about these rifles it would be appreciated. Any idea what model the 99 is? Are the rear sights original on either rifle....both, maybe? Did Model 20s come with the sling swivels?
Thanks...
99G. Peeps not original. Both are wonderful guns. Very jealous here!
Thanks, Fireball. I can't imagine either of those rifles without those sights, they work too well!
