It should be fine. As always with a new bolt you need to check primary extraction. I may be wrong but I believe the bolt bodies are all of the same material. The difference is the rear baffle and the bolt handle. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Does anyone know if it is possible and safe to use a Savage 11 FCNS 308 bolt in a Savage Precision Target Action?
Alternatively, does anyone know if the stainless version of this bolt can be used in a Savage Precision Target Action?

The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
The most important part of this is to make sure you set the headspace with the new bolt.
More shooting, less typing.
