I've not had any cause to try out Savages customer service. But it sounds like they still stand behind their product. I had a Mossberg 835 that refused to eject, I replaced ejector and extractor, but no improvement. Sent it in more than two years later, came back with a new plug (I had removed it), a new set of choke tubes, and a sling stud (I robbed for a last minute deer rifle fix). It makes me happy to see these gun makers strive to build relationships. I wish I had as much luck with Thompson Center...
