    Hinged bottom metal question

I have a Stevens LA that I'm putting together and would like to use hinged bottom metal and want to know if metal from a Accustock will work? I already have a bottom metal from a Accustock but not sure if it's from top or bottom bolt release rifle or if it even matters, my trigger guard is from top release and the stock that will be inletted is a B&C Medalist sporter. I'm assuming that it will work since the action being used is top release, is this correct? Here is a picture of the metal that I have if it will help ID what I have.

It will work. You may have to get some 1/4" washers to shim it to the correct position in the rear but it has been done many times.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
