    B 25 Muzzle Crown

I have two Savage B 25s, one in 22 Hornet purchased about 7 years ago and one in 17 Hornet purchased last week. Both rifles have a slight burr around the bore on the crown which you can feel with a fingernail, and also see with a magnifying glass. Has anyone else come across this? None of my other Savages have this. Even my cheap B-Mag crown seems to be perfect, according to a gunsmith. (Btw, my B-mag purchased last summer seems to shoot about 1.25 to 1.5" at 100 yards with Win. ammo. Did a little work on it and will try it again, soon, I hope.)

I have one in hornet and one in 222. Both are like you describe. They just didn't break the edge on the bore. It is even all the way around and both rifles shoot very good. Sub half inch five shot groups and better.
