So Apparently I Am One Of Those

My wife just bought me a flag pole, and I just hung these two beauties up, my neighbor was looking over and I said to her, isn't that a thing of beauty, and her responds was "OH your one of those" so apparently I am one of those and I didn't even know it. what ever those is I am proud of it.

I have to ask, what is the yellow flag?

In Louisiana, we fly the "LSU" Flag below the stars and stripes.

I will gladly send you a LSU flag which definitely would make you "One of Those"!

Good neighbors are hard to come by. I am lucky enough to only have a few. Mostly we all mind our own business and do a lot of trade labor ect... Pretty much the way it should be.

    Nice flagpole Dean!

Yea Rosco, you have a point.

Remember the dude who was going to burn the flag @ LSU a few years ago.

He's lucky he had more police there than spectators. He was getting ready to meet his maker! ???? Whoever that is/was.

We don't tolerate crap like that!

Nice Dean. We need alot more of "one of those" if we are going to remain the country those flags intended us to be....

Yes Dennis I know what you mean, but don't remember that particular incident. Sadly, many people I know view the American Flag as the New confederate one. They primarily associate it with Fox News, Conservative and Christian values and white male dominance.

“I initially began this flag-burning protest to defend the due
process, of students and suspected terrorist alike,” he said before
protesters chanting “USA! USA!” drowned him out.

LSU police stepped in and whisked him away, ending the demonstration, as Haas was pelted with water balloons and ice,
I will stop here as I don't want this to turn into a political post even though I don't think were even close to one.

Scope eye I put up my flag pole and flag 36 years ago before I even finished my landscaping when I built my house, and the flag has flown 24/7-365 and too HELL with what the neighbors think or feel.
I also have NEVER used a flag made in China or anywhere else. U.S.A. made only even though the price has probably quadrupled since the first one I bought.
When you need a replacement try www.Flagman.com they now have flags guaranteed for life.

And to those "others" I tell'm, "Well, there's one thing you can do I can't, you can kiss my ......".

One of the things I miss most on the 4th, putting on the firework show near our camp outside Blain, Pa. I'm not taking about little smoke bombs or bottle rockets, but the real McCoys. The largest shells were 12", the finales were typically 250-350 2-1/2 -3" with 4",5" and 6" singles, two or three ground displays and a couple flower pots in between.

But as the costs increased it just became to expensive while the donations dwindled next to nothing. We were lucky to get $500 for 5-6 thousand dollar show. I didn't get involved in the financials, but IIRC a 12" alone cost about $250-$300 a pop.

Perhaps your neighbor can hook you up with one of those rainbow-colored flags? Might be worth asking.
