Is that the one they have for $14.95?
What is an overtravel bolt?
For my AXIS .308.Installed and trigger pull is much better. Will go with that for now and take it to the range next week and see how she shoots.

As long as you're happy, I'm happy. Still, I wish you had come to us first. We could have saved you (the kit is $14.95?) about $13.95.
Yeah I kind of figured that is what it was but I've never heard it referred to as a bolt before.
Was wondering about that, because although you can reinsert the original spring, won't they notice the yellow wax has been removed? And wouldn't that void warranty as well?
AXIS 7mm-08 , 22-250
A number of people suggest the spring trimming, but my preference is to remove the factory spring, put a 10-24 set screw in its place, and place a lighter spring (that I can trim to my liking) over top of the set screw. If your kit is the one I'm thinking of, it's exactly the same premise but without worrying about potentially changing the inletting of aftermarket stocks.
I have four intact, factory springs, by the way. My warranties are voided for other reasons.
My trigger went from over 72oz. (the upper limit of my trigger scale) to 48oz. when I snipped 1 1.2 coils off the spring.
In 37 years of owning (scores of) guns, I've only sent two guns back to manufacturer for work, and those were due to recalls. I just don't worry about voiding 'warranties'.
