Is that the one they have for $14.95?
    What is an overtravel bolt?

It's a 10-24 set screw that sells for $0.10 at the hardware store.

As long as you're happy, I'm happy. Still, I wish you had come to us first. We could have saved you (the kit is $14.95?) about $13.95.

Yeah I kind of figured that is what it was but I've never heard it referred to as a bolt before.

How by clipping the spring and voiding warranty.

At least I still have an intact spring to put in if I ever need warranty work.I didn't buy it for the bolt but the spring for a better trigger pull.

Was wondering about that, because although you can reinsert the original spring, won't they notice the yellow wax has been removed? And wouldn't that void warranty as well?

A number of people suggest the spring trimming, but my preference is to remove the factory spring, put a 10-24 set screw in its place, and place a lighter spring (that I can trim to my liking) over top of the set screw. If your kit is the one I'm thinking of, it's exactly the same premise but without worrying about potentially changing the inletting of aftermarket stocks.

I have four intact, factory springs, by the way. My warranties are voided for other reasons.

Mine only had the yellow wax on the other screw not the spring

I took 1 or 2 turns off the factory spring, it did not do jack or jill.
I can put the weight the rifle on the trigger without it going click.

My trigger went from over 72oz. (the upper limit of my trigger scale) to 48oz. when I snipped 1 1.2 coils off the spring.

In 37 years of owning (scores of) guns, I've only sent two guns back to manufacturer for work, and those were due to recalls. I just don't worry about voiding 'warranties'.

Just keep clipping coils off until you are happy. it took 3 or 4 full revolutions on my Axis to get down in the 3's lb range. Was a very, very stiff and creepy trigger. Still has the creep, but I can live with creep if the trigger will go off when I pull on it.
