112 with light varmit/heavy sporter barrel, stock options

Hey guys I have a 112 FV that I will be putting a Apache barrel (260) cant remember what profile I ordered, but it is 24 inches long and is .725 at the muzzle
I was going to go with a Boyds Prairie hunter but unfortunately they don't answer the phone or return phone calls.....So my next option is the Bell Carlson medalist sporter. Has anyone managed to open the barrel channel for a light varmint weight barrel?
    I appreciate any help

A little elbow grease with a deep socket and sandpaper will open up the barrel channel. I'm somewhat impatient so used a drill bit extension and sanding drums in my cordless drill.

It is super easy to open up a Boyd's stock with a wood dowel and sandpaper. Doesn't take very long at all.

Mark here's some pics of a B&C Medalist I opened up for a factory varmint profile barrel.

There's plenty of stock left over on both sides after sanding. The Medalist are excellent stocks

It's a heavy varmint weight, something like .825" at the muzzle, maybe more. I can't measure it right now, don't have access to the rifle.
