Trappst, I want to do two builds one is a 338 edge and the other is a 7mm RSAUM. I would like to supply the barrels and have them chambered, threaded and crowned. Got any ideas on a service provider for tht?

Both Sinman and SSS could do the work for ya but I doubt either of them have those reamers. You would have to buy or rent a reamer.

No gunsmiths in my area so I go to SSS or Sinman. I've had work done by both and everything has been great!

Sinman has the 338 Edge reamer.

I had a 32" McGowan and an RWS muzzle brake sent to him.

He chambered and threaded both ends for me. He does really good work.

BTW...I'd skip the 7RSAUM and go for the 7mmWSM. More velocity and much better brass. I'm using Norma 300wsm brass. Simple fireform and I can still use factory ammo.

Gentlemen, Thanks for the info. I am new to this forum and , I am leary of what I post , I don't want to create any hard feelings. I am not familar with any of the businesses mentioned. I just didn,t know if they would work on barrels that aren,t in-house brands. There is a wealth of knowledge here and lots of members that seem to be more than glad to help. I appreciate that atmosphere. Thanks .

Don't be leary of this place. This sight is probably the most open and friendly one that I visit. We are always happy to answer your questions (occasionally correctly).
