Howdy! New guy from Prescott AZ. Found this highly enlightened group (savage owners) while searching for some info on my newest purchase. I just purchased a new to me, pre 1995 7mm rem mag modle 10. She has a blind mag and the stock is... Well, stock. I was looking at up grading to a Hogue aluminum pillared stock but was wondering if there is any way to change from a blind mag to a external mag. (And if so, where might one find the bottom metal and mag)Now being as Internet savvy as I am, I have yet to find any info on this particular year and modle of rifle. When I called savage they said it pre dated 1995 and they would not have any info on the rifle as the company was sold around this time. I was hoping I could just order an accustock and the required bottom metal from savage... But this rifle pre-dates the accutriger. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
