Anyone experiencing issues with brass having variations in rim thickness??

Recently I have bought two different bags of brass one 243 and one 257 (different Mfgs.) and found 2-3 brass in each that would not fit into the shell holder because the rim was too thick. I have used both of these companies products for years and this is a first for me. Am I just catching up to the era of reduced QC ???

I have noticed similar, but it isn't the rim thickness. It is the base of the case, or flash hole portions tollerances.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
