Savage 25 Plastic Trigger Guard and Mag Well

Is there anyone who is machining an aluminum replacement for the plastic trigger guard and mag well on the Model 25? The one I have snapped in half while trying to remove it to do a camo dip on the stock.

I think the M25 uses the same trigger guard as the laminate rimfire stocks, but don't hold me to that as it's been a few years since I've had my hands on a Model 25. If so I think it's DAP that makes an aluminum replacement. I'm sure someone with a Model 25 will chime in with a more definitive answer for you soon.

Not the same as rimfire. No metal ones I know of. Wish there were. I would buy two.

Sorry about that, it's DIP not DAP - and no, they don't have anything specific for the M25.

Ok, thanks. Time to head over to my friends machine shop and get on the mill with a slab of aluminum and make my own. While I'm on the subject, does anyone know where I can get extra mags for a 25 in 17 Hornet? I've searched everywhere online and have had zero luck.

Direct from Savage will likely be your best bet. You'll have to call them though as they don't have it listed as an option on their web store yet for some reason.

    Trigger Guard Replacement

I know this is an old thread, but I broke the trigger guard while trying to remove it to do some stock work. I contacted Savage CS, and asked about getting a replacement. The girl on the other end asked for my serial number, and if the TG had broken. I gave her the SN and told her what had happened. Without hesitation, she told me that she would send another TG at no cost.

Can beat that for customer service.
