    LRP12-6.5cm & 110ba-338lm introduction

Greetings from The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia! I stumbled across this site and I'm thrilled to find a dedicated Savage forum. I shoot 200-1000 yard matches with my LRP for about a year now and love it, I added a Vortex Razor gen 1 scope and a XLR Element chassis. My 338 I mainly shoot out in the desert, out there I've been working on hitting a mile (seriously need more practice lol).
I'm a General Contractor in the building trades, a father of five and a grandfather of four. My wife just built her own AR and my 5 kids are all proficient/safe shooters as well.
I'm glad to be a part of this site and I am looking forward to reading your posts.
    Cheers!

Thanks for the welcome, I shoot the 1K matches at Sac valley shooting center with NCPPRC. I also shoot out on BLM land near Black Rock Nevada, my other hobby is high power rocketry where I built rockets and launch on the playa there, my personal record is 23,626 feet high at 1507mph. It's a really fun outing to launch rockets and do a bunch of shooting!

I shoot with them too, maybe I'll see you tomorrow at the match. I've been shooting with them for a little over a year.

Hi Craig, Yes I know who you are, Darryl Paris here. I'll be at the match tomorrow too- I'm looking forward to it although it's going to be a bit tricky for me. Three weeks ago I was carrying a big demo jackhammer with many bits in a case tight against my chest through a doorway, about 125lbs worth and my feet washed out from under and I fell backwards WWF style across the threshold blowing out the L3-4 disc in my back impacting the Sciatic nerve loosing all function of my left leg. I've gained most function back in my leg, thank god, but I have to be careful carrying my rifle as I'm slightly unsteady off roading. I devised a way to support my rifle from my hip when walking the 1000yds to save my back! Looking forward to seeing you and good luck!

If were shooting the same relay I'll be happy to help carry gear if it will make it easier.

I wonder if you could shoot one of your rockets out of the sky with the 338lm? 1500mph would be a tough target though. Lol!
