    .300wm Recipes

Anyone developed a good handload for their 110 .300 wm?

Mine loves Berger 210gr VLDs in front of 77.5gr of Reloader 25. CCI 250 primers and once fired factory Winchester brass. Muzzle velocity with is consistently around 2950fps, maybe a little bit more depending on the day and how frisky I'm feeling. I recently started ladder testing some different COALs and distance from the lands with with the Bergers, following the procedure outlined here:

    http://www.longrangehunting.com/arti...accuracy-1.php

I'd be interested to see if anyone has found a hot spot with their .300 win mag 110 LA or other alternative loading components. I was going to try some H1000 and the Berger 215gr Hybrids next, but I can't find either in stock for the life of me.

Mine likes the Berger 185 classic Hunter hybrid with 73gr of H4831sc.
I would like to go heavier but I'm limited to 3.42 with my magazine and it is a hunting rifle so I want to keep it a repeater.
I also would like to try the 215 hybrid, I've herd very good things.
A 210 VLD at 2950 is pretty impressive though too.

What COLs are you seeing the best results with?

I seat the hybrid's @ .005 off land's in 8 different caliber's. But have not seen any accuracy change with the hybrid's even when seated with .040 jump to land's.

Anyone have a neighborhood maximum charge weight for RL-22 that starts to show minimal signs of pressure? Talking about heavy bolt lift, extractor marks, etc. I was using RL-25 before finding 22 at the local Cabela's and I can already tell my charge windows are going to be a lot different after using the chrono this morning.

Need to have an idea of where to start ladder testing so I won't spend 3 hours looking for the ceiling or blow the place up first shot.

id start at 68-69g and work up .5...im shooting 208g hornadys, nosler brass, cci 250 primer with 70.5g summer and 71g winter 2920FPS 28" shilen select match.

if shoot winchester brass you might want to start a little lower...maybe 68g.

OK that's what I figured, just wanted some confirmation before I spent a bunch of time loading them up.
