    111 lefty bolt issue

today i was working on my 7mm rem mag and messed something up. Awhile back i put a new stock on and all was fine, rifle cycled nicely, bolt closed fully, life was good. But today i wanted to get a little more space between barrel/action and stock so i extremely carefully remove the action and barrel, set it aside on a foam pad. When i went to re-install the action a cycle the bolt it decides to not fully lock. its stuck about a quarter tern from total. id insert a picture but we cant here??? HELP!!!!

Loosen the front action screw. It is likely in to far. If so grind it a thread or so shorter.

It looks like your safety is partially engaged. The bolt will not go into battery in that position.

How much clearance is there between the bolt handle and it's mortice in the stock? Maybe its the pic or my old worn out four peepers but it looks like its next to nothing on the rear. The handle shouldn't touch the stock at all, it should bottom out in the mortice in the action with clearance front and back in both.

FYI - whe you put the wrong length scope base mounting screw in it will impede the bolt. Boy do i feel like a big o'll dummy
