    more force on ejected cases

    how about spent case ejection?
when i eject a casing it comes out with very little force behind it,throws it about a foot.if cycled slow with the action facing up the empty will simply flip over and remain in the action.
is there a way to get more ejection force on spent cases?

Is that unusual? I don't really know. Semi-autos will kick empties like crazy, but their bolts are cycling much faster. I would imagine bolt-actions' ejection is similarly tied to bolt cycling speed.

Still, it might be worth checking the ejector plunger to make sure nothing is binding.

Short cases like 223 are more susceptible. May help to do the oversized ball under the extractor claw.

But I know my 223 got gunked from steel cased ammo. Completely disassembled cleaned and lubed reassembled. Took care of the problems. Like Doc says cycling the bolt with authority makes a difference for sure.

    Stretch the spring.
Or replace it with a new one.

After you clean all the spooge out of the ejector hole.
'Scuse me while I whip this out...!

the pin runs smoothly and has a fair amount of tension and the more authority you apply to the bolt, the better it ejects.
i will try shimming the pin or stretching the spring.
