Savage 10-BAS

I have the Savage 10-BAS
I have purchased leupold rings for it but they are lose on the top rail. they fit good on the side rails but not on the top.
I tried the VX-3 and the MARK 4 rings both are lose on the rail.

Anyone have a similar problem?

I'm still trying to find out why my rings do not fit on the top rail of my 10 BAS.

If Mark 4 rings are loose, then the rail is probably out of spec.

Do you have an AR-15 flat top or some other mil spec picatinny rail check the rings with? You could also mic the width of the rail and compare it to the picatinny standard.
