    .308 in a long action

    I'll be single feeding rounds.
Any reason that I shouldn't shoot a short cartridge from a long action?

No reason at all not to.

I built a S.A. cal on a 110 also. No problems, the rifle shoots better than I can.

Only issue I can imagine is finding the stock you want in long action. Not necessarily a problem, but I'd shop for stocks first, unless you're just going with what you have.

I've actually got the gun, minus barrel. I'm awaiting the 6.5 I ordered, but picked up a cheap .308 (which I already load for) bull barrel, just to get time on the trigger, make any stock adjustments I need & generally get adjusted to shooting the thing on the cheap!
