    Greetings from Nevada

Hello all. I was recently looking around for a rifle that shoots a readily available caliber, is accurate, and not too pricey. After researching for days, I stumbled across the Savage 10T from Cabelas. It has a lot of features for a rifle that is very affordable. Everything I could find says it shoots extremely accurately. Plus I had some Cabelas points to use, it was on sale for $549 and Savage has a $100 rebate. Too good to pass up. I should have it in my hands by this weekend. I have a TC Icon in .30TC and that thing shoots where you point it. A very well built rifle. But I worried over the availability of ammunition. This will give me a rifle that's just as accurate if not more so and plenty of choices for ammunition. They both have the 5R rifling too. I don't care if the 5R stuff is marketing hype or not. For me, it seems to work. It made me a better shooter when I got the Icon.

Welcome. Always good to see another Nevadan here.

Since you said Cabelas and not Bass Pro, I assume you are in Northern Nevada. I live in Dayton and work in Carson City.

I live in Las Vegas. I called the Reno store because they had one of the 10T in stock.
