    Model 1920 questions

I recently inherited my grandfathers Model 1920 in .300 Savage. He bought it new amd with a 62xx serial number I am figuring its from around 1923.
What I am wondering about ia mounting some glass to it. Ive seen side mounts on 1920's and had a 340 with a side mount but being left handed i found i had to really roll my head over the stock plus didnt like the tall height of them. I have also seen pictures of 1920's with what looks like a weaver style rail with Weaver K series scopes mounted on them. Does anyone have any info on a scope mounting solution?

    Thanks
    Tim

The only problem with the 1920 is that if you use anything bigger than a 3/4" scope the handle hits the scope.

Does your grandfathers gun have the Lyman peep sight on the bolt?

I think your looking for something like this:

    Savage- "never say never".
