Should be up one in "combination guns" but this will do.

What did you want to know?

I've been looking for one for my son in 22lr and 20 gauge. It seems like an awful lot of them either have cracked stocks or else the sellers point out the fact that there are no cracks in the stock. Was this a common occurance that I should be aware of. Were there any particular changes made over the years that would make one more desirable than another. Is there any source for small parts.

    Yes, yes and yes.

The 24's do have the tendency to crack but not on the back of the tangs like the 99's do, usually it's a crack on the side from the ones I've seen.

There were lots of changes made, so many I couldn't list them all. There are a lot of different models all with different options.

For example, the 24DL had a Monte Carlo stock, nickel receiver with engraving.

The 24C was a "camp" gun with a short barrel, ammo storage in the butt and a carrying pack that it fit in.

Numrichs carries a lot of small parts.

Thanks. I'll inspect carefully for cracks or at least ask any sellers to do a close inspection.
