removing factory bases on pre accutrigger 110

I have a pre accutrigger 110. When looking at the factory bases for removal I can't seem to find any form of screw. I figured they might be screwed from the inside but that doesn't make much sense. So are they permentally attached or am I missing something?

Sounds like you have one of the receivers where the bases are part of the receiver - one unit. Can't take them off. They made them like that for a short while (in the 80's?? - can't recall exactly when).

    So...you either need a torch, or a grinder. ;D

These must be some of the ones that they solidered on since there is a seam where they met the receiver. I have yet to find a smith who is willing to tackle the task of removing them. I would leave them alone but the are kinda far apart and they're not machined very well. As for the use of a torch how would that heat affect the receiver.

They used heat to put them on.
Put the heat on the top of the base and it will come off with less heat transferred to the receiver then they used to put it on.
