Mdl 110C Intermediate Action meets XLR Industries Chassis

I had searched for a considerable amount of time for a suitable stock or chassis for my 260 Rem build. The difficulty is/was that stocks/chassis are next to nil for intermediate actions with 4.522" center to center action bolt spacing.

I contacted Kyle with XLR and he was willing to cut a custom Evolution chassis. I received the chassis today in the raw as I will be Cerakoting the rifle.

    The particulars of this build:

    260 Rem Caliber
Savage Model 110c J series Intermediate Action,4.522" Center to Center action bolts
Sharp Shooter Supply Timed & Trued Action
    Northland Shooters Supply Action Lug
    Northland Shooters Supply Barrel Nut
Shilen 260 Rem select match 28" 1-8" barrel
    Glades Armory Tactical Bolt
    Rifle Basix Sav-1 trigger
XLR Industries Tactical Evolution Chassis 14" handguard, RH, DBM Setup
    XLR Folding Stock Adapter
    AICS 308 5 Round Mags
    Burris XTR II 8-40x50mm Scope
Ken Farrell 1-Piece 20 MOA Steel Base
Badger Ordnance 34mm 1.49" Steel Rings
    Work not yet completed:
    Barrel Threaded, brake installed
    Cerakote chassis and barreled action

Its nearly taken a year but have completed my build. The chassis and barreled action were cerakoted by DavTac, Shreveport La. Need to load up some rounds and go to the range.

Good catch! You are correct, still need to time the brake.

Looks freaking awesome. Not sure it matters, but typically, the wider scope ring is run up front and the thinner one in the rear, if I'm not mistaken.

Gosh I am not sure now. I believe I saw some photos with the 6 screw ring at the back. I will e-mail Badger Ordnance and see what they have to say.

Been doing some load development on the 260. Still have less than 300 rounds down range. Starting to zero-in on some decent bullet and powder combinations. The sierra 140GR MKs seem to be giving me the best results. Have some 139gr Lapua Scenars that I will be trying in the future.

Load development continues. So far it looks like 37.0gr VihtaVuori N550 with 139gr Lapua Scenars is a sweet spot at .005" off the lands. Also 42.0gr IMR4831 with 140gr Sierra MKs .010" off the lands.
