Model 1899 Take Down BARREL -- .22 HP Have any value?

Picked up this barrel in an auction lot.

    20" in length

Integral front sight with blade still present.
Lug for take down latch still mounted.
Rear sight replaced with a Stith blank

What may be the s/n is stamped by by the locking slot under the chamber: 141 403N

Bore looks good. Bluing is VERY good, but some 'fading' of lettering on barrel leads me to think it might be reblued.

Any information or valuation would be greatly appreciated.

    Probably bring $100-$150 on Fleabay.

Not sure what the N means but that might be the serial number of it.

Usually you only find the last three digits of the serial number stamped on the take down barrels.

    Well, color me surprised!

I couldn't find anything similar online. Figured any barrel should be worth around $100.

Like normal Ebay, bids came in at the end: http://www.ebay.com/itm/291420899773...84.m1559.l2649

    Amazing!

    Wow, you killed it.

Last time I looked at it today it was at $165.

That's the nice thing about Ebay, you get two kooks with a chubby wallet fighting over something and you make the money.

Up in Canada with the exchange rate I could buy the whole **** gun for that price.

In my part of the USA also. I have bought and sold a couple of complete take down '99s for just a few dollars more. Buyer was happy, so I'm happy.
