In the course of chasing accuracy with my model 10 I've tried to set the Berger VLD bullets closer to the lands. With the bullets seated 30 thousands off the lands the tip of the bullet just catches the edge of the chamber and prevents the round from sliding into the chamber. It looks like the case is not being deflected up by the feed ramp very much at all. I'm considering two possible fixes;

One is to slightly bend open the ears on the box magazine to allow the case to rotate upward sooner.

The other is to place a couple small dots of epoxy on the feed ramp to try to build it up enough to lift the case so that the bullet tip clears the edge of the chamber.

Has anyone else had this issue and come up with a fix?

Thanks,
