    It was made in 1954.

Must be a model R if it was factory drilled and tapped.

here we go again, I picked up another 99,300Savage, not drilled & tapped. The rifle is in 98% all around. It has a redfield aperture site.
original rear sight is missing. there is a blank in the dovetail.
I would like to find a rear sight to match rifle. and again would like to find out what year was made.

    Thanks in advance,hh
I wish I could find a 250-3000 in this condition.

Does it have two rings on the front of the forearm?

No worries, thought it may have been a pre-war model R but it's an EG.

The sling studs are not factory, detracts from the value of the gun.

Try this guy, if he doesn't have it or can't help you, I'm not sure who can.
