    striker safety

Hi, I am new to the savage striker and have a question. I bought a used action and noticed there is no safety. Took it to the gunsmith and he said he didn't recall seeing a striker with a safety and is waiting to hear from savage. Can anyone shed some light on this as I find it hard to believe there would not be a safety from the factory. I suspect someone took the safety off for their own reasons.

they have safeties. they are basically the same action as the rifle and use the same parts for the safety.

center rear of the action, under the bolt if it is open if it is missing there will be a slotted hole.

Thanks for the info and fast reply. Does the target action use the same safety?
