    110 going from 7mm RM to 6.5x55

Got the barrel, lug, new nut, bolt head and tools on the way. I have one question I am trying to work thru.

The magazine is connected to the action and is stagger feed. I looked up my serial number on the savage website and the mag is part number 100191 and follower is 102981. I am trying to figure if I need to replace the Mag and follower. On Midway site it states the savage part number 100191 is for 30-06 and 270.

Is this the same mag? Will I need to replace it? I have some ammo and brass ordered, but not here yet. I will be shocked if the 6.5x55 round will work in the 7mm RM mag.

The reloading references I have state that the diameter of the 7mmRM is 0.532 and 6.5x55 is 0.480.

Can someone advise me in this area? I have looked into how to take the mag off the action, but no luck so far.

My notes show the 300 WinMag staggerfeed magazine box as Savage part number 100192 and the standard length 30/06 box as Savage part number 100191. I've verified those numbers in the Savage Parts finder. My 6x55BR uses the 6.5x55 parent case and feeds properly from the 30/'06 magazine.
